In 2001, Cousin Filterie S.A. was sold to a German company, which consequently decided to close important subsidiaries, including the one in Colombia. Faced with this situation, Mr. Le Crom sought new alternatives to continue providing employment for former Cousin employees and preserve their know-how, founding Industrias Leader LTDA. Industrias Leader LTDA became a benchmark in the manufacturing of sewing threads in Colombia, primarily known for its Platinum brand bonded threads, highly recognized in the footwear industry in Bogotá and the Santander regions. Later, the Morpho embroidery thread brand and the core-spun Caligo and spun Donna apparel thread brands were launched.

In 2023, the company C.I Indumar S.A.S acquired the assets of Leader LTDA. With a new injection of capital, high-quality raw materials, technology, and human talent, Indumar aims to become a significant player in the textile industry in Colombia and LATAM. Thanks to the combined knowledge and experience of Indumar and Leader, a new approach focused on quality, efficiency, and agility has been generated. These characteristics allow Leader to stand out today as the best alternative for sewing threads in Colombia. Today, we offer a wide range of sewing threads for various industries, 100% nationally manufactured.
